Here at Larry Smith Inc, “Safety” is at the top of the list of requirements for all our employees on our jobs as well as in our shop and office. LSI Safety Program meets or exceeds OSHA regulations.

The dictionary definition of “accident” is an uncontrolled event. However, every work place “accident” can be controlled by a good safety program and proper employee training. Therefore, LSI is committed to a good safety program, including the necessary training.

Training is an integral part of our Safety Program. We give all our employees a safety manual at the time of hiring, and we provide on-going job training -- that is daily -- in the proper and safe way to conduct their jobs. We require all employees to wear personal protective equipment. Further, we identify for them the special protective equipment we require them to use for certain aspects of their job, and impress upon them that they must use it for those particular jobs. We hold weekly safety meetings with all our employees, and conduct daily site inspections on every project site.

Further, we use an equipment preventive maintenance program in an effort to prevent equipment failure and any accidents that might occur due to such equipment failure.

We also provide our personnel with the proper information and equipment to protect the well being of the public.

We endorse a drug and alcohol free work place.
